The MicroPlex plant nutritionals is a new line of nutrient products formulated with our breakthrough carriers and are completely solubilized in a plant-ready formulation.
The MicroPlex Essentials Line
MicroPlex Essentials can be applied as either a soil or foliar application. For the prevention or correction of a deficiency, foliar applications are recommended for two reasons. Foliar applications bypass the potential reduction of nutrient uptake soils can present. But most importantly, each MicroPlex Essential is formulated with our proprietary Performance Carriers Stabitrol and/or StabiNex which enables “immediate” plant absorption and translocation upon contact with the plant surface. This benefit ensures that all the nutrient is delivered directly into the plant eliminating rain wash-off or evaporative drying concerns
MicroPlex Boron 5%
Boron works in conjunction with calcium to establish healthy cell wall synthesis and is essential for generating new plant cells (division). During a plant’s reproductive growth cycle, higher levels of boron is required because of its role with pollination, and fruit and seed development.
Calcium is critical to cell wall and membrane development, but calcium helps a plant’s defense against crop-specific pathogens. Calcium foliar sprays can help in the prevention of leaf wilting (necrosis), short brown roots, fungal issues, weak stems and stunted growth known as “damping off”.
Copper plays multiple roles within a plant. It activates certain enzymes which are involved in lignin synthesis and is also essential in several enzyme systems. Other key functions of copper are processing of photosynthesis, plant respiration and the metabolism of carbohydrates and proteins.
Zinc activates enzymes that are responsible for the synthesis of certain proteins. It is used in the formation of chlorophyll and some carbohydrates, conversion of starches to sugars and its presence in plant tissue helps the plant to withstand cold temperatures. Zinc is essential in the formation of auxins, which help with growth regulation and stem elongation.
Iron is essential for the synthesis of chlorophyll, and the maintenance of chloroplast structure and function. Iron is also a catalyst in carrying important elements through a plant’s circulatory system.
Magnesium has a wide range of key roles in many plant functions. A few primary roles are in the photosynthesis process, as it is a building block of the Chlorophyll, the metabolism of carbohydrates, and cell membrane stabilization.
Manganese plays a vital role as a plant nutrient. Many biochemical processes within the plant are dependent on this nutrient such as chloroplast formation, photosynthesis, nitrogen metabolism and synthesis of some enzymes.
Only very small quantities of Molybdenum are required for normal plant development but it plays a crucial role in the regulation of various plant functions. Molybdenum is required for the synthesis and activity of two enzymes that convert the nitrate into nitrite and then into ammonia to synthesize amino acids within the plant. Molybdenum’s key role is to optimize plant growth. Certain plants require higher levels of Molybdenum (such a legumes) than others. Plants also use molybdenum to convert inorganic phosphorus into organic forms in the plant.
